Week 6 - Experimenting with foliage

Tip of the Week - Sky Holes

I was quite excited this week to discover a technique I had not used before.

1 - With masking fluid, roughly create some sky holes. (Gaps between leaves and branches in trees that allow the view of the sky)

2 - Paint your tree foliage

3 - Remove the masking fluid

4 - With a damp brush, soften the paint around the holes and paint over the top to produce a soft, impressionistic feel.

Not earth shattering
